Click the heading tab that says \u201cVolunteer\u201d then choose \u201cVolunteer Hub\u201d. It will lead you right to our Volunteer Hub website where you can view openings at either St. Ben\u2019s Community Meal or House of Peace. If you see something that works with your schedule, you can create an account in the top right corner and sign up for the shift of your choice. Depending on the type of ministry the age requirement may differ due to specific tasks. You must contact the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule a meeting. The age requirement for court ordered volunteers is 18 years. Completion of background checks are a routine screening tool to better ensure the safety of our guests, staff, and other volunteers. Background checks are only completed on volunteers 18 years old and up and are free to the volunteer. It takes about 4-5 business days, on average, for a background check to be processed.<\/p>\n                            <\/div>\n                        <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                                    <div class=\"card dark\">\n                        <div class=\"card-header\" id=\"heading6\">\n                            <h2 class=\"mb-0\">\n                                <button class=\"btn btn-link collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-target=\"#collapse6\"\n                                    aria-expanded=\"\" aria-controls=\"collapse6\">\n                                    How do groups sign up to volunteer?                                <\/button>\n                            <\/h2>\n                        <\/div>\n                        <div id=\"collapse6\" class=\"collapse \" aria-labelledby=\"heading6\"\n                            data-parent=\".accordion.faqs\">\n                            <div class=\"card-body\">\n                                <p>Anyone wanting to serve as a volunteer group must contact the volunteer coordinator directly. You can click the tab that says Volunteer, scroll down to Volunteer Groups then click Contact Capuchins Community Services Volunteer Coordinator. For all non-religious groups, one person can create an account as the \u201cgroup organizer\u201d. Once the profile is created, pick a date based on openings available on Volunteer Hub, then alert the Volunteer Coordinator on the number of volunteers you wish to bring, which should not exceed the need for that shift.
